I started college in 2015 with the intentions of being a nurse. After about 3 months I knew animal healthcare was the path I wanted to follow. I earned my vet assistant certificate in 2017. I finished tech school in 2019 and earned my CVT in December of 2020. My major interests are in surgical procedures and dentistry. Everyday I am able to be a voice for animals and that is a very heartwarming experience. I love what I do!
If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
I would have otters because they are adorable when they swim around. I could watch them play all day.
Do you currently have any pets? What type and what are their names?
I have 2 rescue dogs – Annie is a senior heeler mix and Dewey is a young pitbull mix. I also have 3 cats, Arlo, Irie and Cole!
What is your favorite thing about working with animals?
My favorite thing about working with animals is the relationship I form with them. It’s a great feeling to hear a patient I just adore is coming in for annual visits or boarding, tech appointments, etc. I enjoy telling owners about how great their pet is!
I am always sad to see our patients unwell, but when they are sick I love spending time with them in the hospital and taking care of them.
