I have always had a love for dogs and just animals in general. I grew up with dogs and cats. I especially loved training my dogs and teaching them tricks. As a child, I wanted to be a veterinarian. When I got a little older I looked into different occupations involving animals and decided a veterinary technician sounded the most fitting for me. I love being a vet tech and honestly cannot see myself doing anything else.
If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
A lion or a snow leopard. They are big beautiful creatures that are fierce yet playful and we could eat delicious steaks together.
Do you currently have any pets? What type and what are their names?
I have a doofy yellow lab named Red who loves to eat sticks and tries to bring them in the house. I also have a black lab named Gracie who is a sweetheart who loves pets. They are the best of friends.
What is your favorite thing about working with animals?
I obviously love getting to see all the puppies, but I love when we have very sick patients come in who have a poor prognosis and we can save them and give them more time with their family.
